Thank-you so much for this educational opportunity. It was a positive experience for me. I am not very computer savvy and this opened my eyes to many more things on the internet. I never knew you could upload pictures or have Rss feeds and del.icio.us is great. You could spend your whole life on the internet "so much to learn and so little time".....
I hope in the future if another class is offered it will be offered at your own pace. I was gone 3 out of 4 weeks in March and never would have been able to finish if I hadn't worked ahead in Feb. before we were blocked out.
I would definately take another class. I now know what a blog is and have a better idea about my space and what blogging is all
about.

wiki's- lesson 9

I went to the Bull Run Library site then I found Green Libraries Unconference in Arlington, Virgina. The goal was to bring together people to exchange ideas and develop public information for their communities and make positive changes in sustainable business practices at their library.
An unconference is a conference created and managed by participants rather than organizers. You and join and then add your thoughts. The Butte Silver Bow Public Library is offering a health fair in a week so it might be fun to get peoples input for a future fair and coordinate it with other events in the community coming up and or additions or deletions that may be necessary. If it is close to school starting they could offer immunizations
to children etc.

This video was about random acts of kindness. A teenager gives a homeless boy a candy bar and then he picks up the keys that an older man drops.
I picked this video because we have storyhour on Friday and the theme is
"I'm Special" and we will sing "this lttle light". I think you could down load
the video and ask the kids for their comments.

lesson 6 podcasting

I went to top 10 Podcasts and found Friday, 25th of Jan. with Dan Carlin's Hardcore.http://www.podcastalley.com/podcast_details.php?pod_id=27383#
Dan talked about how to win the war on terror by deprograming the terrorists and then sending them back into the hotbeds to change the rest of the extremests. Also he talked about using diplomacy as a sword & have the people who lived under the talaban tell everyone what it was like & ask them if they want to go back to that life. Also we need to buy lots of air time showing the advantages of democracy like voting, women teaching, also girls going to school etc. I think you could use such a podcast for history classes in the high school, also speech and debate and or studies of
different societies.
